Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a practical, structured approach to anxiety, depression, stress and worry. It focuses on how thoughts, feelings and behaviours influence one another, and it gives you skills you can use between sessions.

In CBT, we identify unhelpful patterns in thinking and behaviour, test them together, and build more balanced ways of responding. The work is focused on the present and on the goals you set with your therapist.

What to expect: Sessions are typically 50 to 60 minutes and may include practice exercises between appointments. Many clients begin with a free 15-minute consultation, followed by a first full session to set goals.

CBT can help with: anxiety and panic, depression and low mood, perfectionism, avoidance, stress and burnout, and sleep and worry patterns.

CBT is available in person or through secure virtual sessions across Ontario, with daytime, evening and weekend appointments.
