Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy helps people manage intense emotions, impulsive behaviour and unstable relationships. It combines practical skills with acceptance, so you can change how you respond to strong feelings without first needing to feel calm.
DBT is built on four skill areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. Our therapists tailor the structure of treatment to each client and help you apply skills in real situations.
DBT can help with: rapidly shifting emotions, urges toward self-harm, impulsive behaviour, difficulty tolerating distress, turbulent relationships, and fear of abandonment or rejection.
DBT sessions are offered virtually across Canada, with daytime, evening and weekend options.
