Teen & Adolescent Counseling

Adolescence brings a lot at once: school pressure, friendships that move between school and screens, questions about identity, changes at home and a growing need for independence. Many teens find it hard to explain what they are going through. We make counselling feel steady, honest and collaborative.

Our therapists adapt evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT skills and trauma-informed care, to the way teens think and develop. The goal is to build enough trust for a teen to speak openly while keeping parents informed and involved.

Intake includes the teen and a parent or guardian so everyone understands how therapy works, including confidentiality and its limits. Most of the direct work happens one-on-one between the therapist and the teen.

Common reasons teens reach out: anxiety and school stress, low mood, family conflict or separation, social difficulties and bullying, identity questions, anger and intense emotions, grief, and the effects of social media.

Teens can work with us in person or through virtual sessions across Ontario, with after-school, evening and weekend appointments available.
